Update July 2, 2018:

Â鶹ֱ²¥ QUALIFIES FOR $11,200 IN CHALLENGE GIFTS

Thanks to at least 452 people (we are still counting all of the gifts that arrived in the mail over the weekend) who have already made gifts to Â鶹ֱ²¥ this year, we have exceeded our goal of 425 discrete donors for Fiscal Year 2018 (July 1, 2017 – June 30, 2018).

This is a huge accomplishment. During the last week of May, Â鶹ֱ²¥ had received gifts from about 350 donors. That means that 100 of our members and friends who had not contributed already this fiscal year made gifts in late May and during June. Many of our members also made additional gifts.

Not only is this large number of donors (almost 25% of our membership) something that distinguishes Â鶹ֱ²¥ from other societies, but these donations enable Â鶹ֱ²¥ to carry out our mission. Subscriptions and memberships only account for about a quarter of our annual budget, so we rely on grants and donations from our members and friends.

Even modest gifts add up to create significant support for Â鶹ֱ²¥, and the high level of donor participation from our memberships helps us attract gifts from foundations and major donors. Truly, every donor is important, and every gift is meaningful.

Thank you again for all that you have done and continue to do to support Â鶹ֱ²¥. We hope to publish the updated Honor Roll of Donors for Fiscal Year 2018 in the next issue of News@Â鶹ֱ²¥, so please keep an eye out for an updated version of this article in two weeks.
