2026 PUBLICATIONS COMMITTEE
The Publications Committee takes responsibility for overseeing Â鶹ֱ²¥ publications, including Â鶹ֱ²¥â€™s four scholarly journals — the Bulletin of Â鶹ֱ²¥, the Journal of Cuneiform Studies, Maarav, and Near Eastern Archaeology — and Â鶹ֱ²¥â€™s three monograph series — the Annual of Â鶹ֱ²¥ (AÂ鶹ֱ²¥), the Â鶹ֱ²¥ Archaeological Reports Series (Â鶹ֱ²¥ – ARS), and the Journal of Cuneiform Studies Supplement Series (JCCSS). The committee oversees as well as Â鶹ֱ²¥â€™s digital database, the Levantine Ceramics Project, and Â鶹ֱ²¥â€™s Friends of Â鶹ֱ²¥ e-newsletter, The Ancient Near EastÌý°Õ´Ç»å²¹²â. In addition, the Publications Committee conducts searches for and recommends to the Â鶹ֱ²¥ Board of Trustees individuals to serve as editors or in some cases co-editors of Â鶹ֱ²¥â€™s scholarly journals and monograph series. Typically, editors serve for three-year terms and can be renewed for a second term. Finally, the committee discusses and advises Â鶹ֱ²¥ regarding new publication initiatives, especially digital publishing initiatives and making Â鶹ֱ²¥ publications available through open access.
